Vintage Easter Joys Blog Hop and Linky Party

One of my favorite ways to decorate for Easter is with vintage and vintage style pieces!  They are so charming and bring back childhood memories!

I am joining a fun group of bloggers who are sharing vintage and vintage-inspired Easter decor, for the Vintage Easter Joys Blog Hop and Linky Party!
A big thank you to Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home for hosting!
She is always so inspiring!

And if you are hopping over from Petite Haus, welcome!
I know you enjoyed Angelina's wonderful decor!
I'll share links for all the participants later in the post!

I don't have a lot of vintage Easter pieces, so I enjoy highlighting them, and adding them to vintage inspired pieces I have found!  I changed up and added to the Spring Decor I shared with you earlierfor a festive Easter look!
I love to use old baskets and this beautiful old flower basket,
found at the thrift store this week, inspired a ladder display!

Forsythia is one of my favorite spring flowers.

I love the chippy grey paint on the basket.

Pretty old linens deserve to be seen...

Don't you love old European candy and biscuit tins?
This one is an English Baret Ware tin...and its colorful, jeweled
decoration reminds me of a great big Easter egg!

This planter has the look of a chocolate bunny...
adding some grass and eggs is charming!

Old Easter postcards are beautiful to decorate with, and
enlarging them makes a nice sized piece of art.

Smaller cards can be used in vignettes and tucked into decor...

I especially love to share my religious decor...
Easter is about celebrating the Risen Christ and new life through Him.

A large Easter Lily print is always on display this time of year.

Isn't this the sweetest old bookmark?  Dated 1927...

And my old French flower cards are such pretty little pieces of art right now!

As I shared in my last post, I love little chicks for spring and Easter decorating! These two vintage inspired pieces are both thrift store finds.

They were added to the hutch ...

Other whimsical pieces went into a little vignette!
Another enlarged postcard (there are many postcards you can find on Pinterest) is hung on a petite cabinet.  The standing rabbit is a thrifted vintage inspired piece, as is the chocolate mold.  And a collection of sweet vintage party favor baskets
and cupcake toppers are always fun to display at Easter!

Colorful eggs are always perfect.

  2. Linda, love your sweet vintage treasures! Those cupcake picks are to die for! I need some in my baking display. Seeing this reminds me that I have some little plastic baskets similar to yours in my craft room. Your two thrift find chicks are darling and I love your new found basket. I have a collection of 5 funeral baskets, but they are still hanging in my shed. Will bring some in after Easter. Loved the tour and I am still a bit envious of your lamb chocolate mold! :)
    hugs,

  8. Linda, I love forsythia too, not only for its signaling spring's arrival, but it's the happiest color there is, I do believe. Yellows and greens are the colors that speak to me, and yours are lovely. The basket arrangement is perfect, and the religious items also really speak to me as well.
Happy Easter, my friend, it was a pleasure to join in this venture with you!

  14. Linda, once again I am just wanting yo jump in the computer to see all your treasures in real life. I could go on and on! The basket was a great find and looks awesome on the ladder. The vintage style standing rabbit is my favorite! He truly looks vintage and I would love to find one. So perfect with your cake toppers and colorful eggs. I see that you also have little nativity sheep on display for Easter, yours are precious. I love all of your vintage Easter postcards. I picked up one yesterday at an antiques shop with little chicks, it would have been perfect for my post! I love how you have blown some up, I will be borrowing that idea! Thanks for all the inspiration. Happy Easter!

  15. Your precious treasures that shout, "Spring!" are enormously better than anything you could buy in a store. I LOVE the seed packets and vintage Easter cards. I have been dreaming about that basket ever since I saw it on IG.

I love forsythia, I have a huge bush in the backyard, but it hasn't bloomed yet. I had a faux door wreath for a long time and it looked good all the time (except winter, of course).

    Have a blessed Easter!

  17. I just loved your entire post. It inspires me; next Easter I'm gonna be more organized and I have enjoyed collecting vintage images of postcards this spring. Love how you have incorporated the TRUE meaning of Easter along with the bunnies, etc. My favorite is the angel postcard with all the sheep! Happy Easter!
