The Bachman's 2018 Spring Ideas House

Between snowstorms and home redecorating projects, I recently took time for a fun day to tour the 2018 Bachman's Spring Ideas House!
I needed a little spring in my life!

If this is your first time on the tour...a little background... Bachman's is a long time Twin Cities garden, floral, and home decor business.  The Ideas House is held in an old family home on the flagship property and showcases their new product and plants using a little vintage and fun ideas!  Their design staff works hard to totally change it up three times a year and everything in the house is for sale.  20% of the ticket price goes to a local charity... this time is Friends of the Institute~ for the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Let's get started on the tour!

The theme for this Ideas House is "Country Weekend" and I thought this house showcased their wonderful floral and garden items beautifully! We'll start in the whimsical front porch...I'll let the photos do most of the talking!

The living room is set on an angle this time...

The house had lots of washed gray and pale pink colors,
which set off the beautiful greens and natural tones.

Our last stop on the part one of the tour, is from the downstairs powder room.
I loved these cute storage ideas!

  1. I think that is my favorite Bachman's House!!! Love all the vintage items tucked in here and there. And love that garden hose rug!

  2. I always love when you feature this house - thank you for doing so! My favorite room that you showed was the kitchen. I love that little table and chairs and then that old bookcase next to the stove. So charming. You know what's "funny"...I didn't care for the living room this time. It looks too crowded to me with all that furniture. What did you think?

  3. Linda, Thank you for taking us to the House of Ideas. I like the old tire swing turned into a planter. I would rather it be hanging from a tree , outside. I also love the old boards hanging above the stove in the kitchen. Such a cute idea. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
