A Little Bit of Spring...

Well, here in Minnesota we have some snow on the ground with the promise of more to come...but my mind is thinking of Spring!  I was tired of all the red in my hutch and decided some yellow and green would bring a little feeling of spring to our home!

I brought in old books with pretty floral covers,

pretty and whimsical pieces...

The yellow makes me smile...

I think this vintage appliqued daffodil piece is so sweet...

My sweet tole lilies...

This beautiful covered carnival glass dish has such beautiful golden lustre~ it was my husband's mother's...

Funny how changing things up, makes the whole house feel more like spring!  Next, I think it's time to head to the garden store for some new flowering house plants!

I am joining Debra at Common Ground's Vintage Inspiration Friday
and
Honey at 2805's Potpourri Friday

Until next time...

It looks great Linda! I did see geese heading North yesterday so I'm hoping that spring may actually arrive one day. :)

It looks really nice, Linda! I, too, am tired of winter here in WI..even though it has been a mild one. I love your soft yellows-they are so pretty. Hope you have a great weekend- xo Diana

Your cupboard does look like spring on the way, even though I'm secretly hoping for a snow day next week just to get a day off at work!

You are inspiring me to rummage around in my basement to see what springlike things I have tucked away. My buffet and cupboards have been bare since Christmas!

Every time I visit your blog I am happily scrolling, reading and looking at photos, and I get to the spot where the dogs are on the sidebar and I have to stop and smile. The pup in the blue cracks me up!

You have the sweetest elements here! I love seeing the details. The transferware is gorgeous, and I LOVE that yummy little applique towel. The colors are so cottage soft and blend so well. This is all just a delight to look at! It must be cheering you up to no end!

Your hutch looks beautiful dressed up for spring. Even if it isn't quite spring outside, your decorating must be helping with the spring fever. I am a happy new follower from Potpourri Friday.

The hutch redo certainly does look like "Spring has Sprung" in your home. The white is so crisp and clean for spring.

Beautiful! I've been thinking about changing out the cupboard in my front hall, it's had pretty much the same vases for a long time. You've given my some great inspiration to get 'er done. Especially with those little pictures and doilies.
Happy Spring!
Susanne.

I have no idea where I've been because I haven't seen half of these posts! I guess I've been sticking my head in the sand the last few weeks. Love that bird in the first photo. It all looks so springy and fresh.
