The Lady Gets A Makeover...

Recently, I found this little lady curbside...a chippy, gaudy golden girl.  But I had other plans for her...a makeover!

I decided to decoupage the mannequin with vintage dictionary pages...the pattern is small and wouldn't detract from displays.

I didn't try to make her perfect...a wrinkly surface was fine with me...

I think she turned out beautifully!  I plan to use her in my studio for display...

of antique jewelry...

and lovely old lace...

She's so stylish now...

I am joining Angie at Knick of Time Tuesday

and Kim at Wow Us Wednesdays

Until next time...
Linda

Wow! Beautiful. I was at the Antique Mall today and there was a bust of a woman that had been done in a similar way, thought yours is much nicer and unique with the jewellry and the lace. Thanks for sharing!

I have a similar gal in my studio only she was bright orange to begin with. Yours truly has the wasp waist of the victorians doesn't she! Quite an improvement with the collage (or is it decolletage?) She'll be a fine prop for your pieces.
