Isn't She A Cutie?

I haven't done much thrifting lately with lots of family goings on and getting ready for Junk Bonanza, but last week I stopped by a Goodwill and found this charming vintage scale!  I love the graphic face, so different than others I've found!  I added this little cutie to my kitchen, holding an old coffee tin...

I love the crackled patina of the tin...

and the vintage coffee sign I framed...

The antique milk glass fruit bowl is one of my favorites!  From the late 1880's, it was made by Challinor Taylor and Co.  We usually use it for bananas, but now it's holding some of this year's apples...

I think the little scale is a fun addition to my coffee corner!

Until next time...have a wonderful Labor Day holiday!

Linda

Scales are very popular in my area right now - they are flying out of the mall. Not very easy to find though. Love your vignette.

Hi Linda,
I missed a couple of your posts! Love your vintage scale, and the coffee tin looks very Swedish to me for some reason. Love the milk glass too. And your previous post on the lake was a nice read. Lake is low you say? Too bad. Hope you got some boat time in earlier!!!
I am so happy that Fall is making an appearance. It seems to have been a long summer for many!!

Your sweet little scale is a wonderful addition to your coffee corner. I love that pretty tin.
You have the same coffee maker as we have. We had it for several years before something broke in the grinder part, plastic parts do that. It makes fabulous coffee, though, doesn't it. We grind our coffee before it goes in and it is still in use.
