Last Minute Simple Halloween Projects

It's nearly Halloween and I have a couple of last minute
oh-so-simple Halloween projects to share with you!

Last Minute Simple Halloween Projects- Itsy Bits And Pieces

Recently I was visiting over at Debra's lovely blog at Common Ground where she was sharing her October Fireplace And Mantel. She always has such beautiful vignettes, and I fell in love with the owl figurines that she cleverly painted white.  On my mantel, I decided to paint some thrift store owl figurines black, for the look of spooky silhouettes.  I found this motley crew and one other...

With a coat of black craft paint,
they became spooky characters on our Halloween mantel.

I think they would be great added to a Halloween or harvest tablescape, too!

The next project couldn't be easier.  I bought this Smucker's Salted Caramel Topping (not a sponsor...we just love it) to use on sliced apples...
less sugar than most, and so good.  But I love this jar, too!
The silver and orange gingham lid is so cute.

Simply painting on the lid with craft paint and adding a black and white
baker's twine bow, makes the cutest candy container to gift or display.
I told you it was simple...and you get the yummy salted caramel, too!
I love finding ways to re-use bottles and cans!
