Spring Hutch Decorating

One of my favorite spring decorating projects, is re-doing the hutch
in the sunporch! It always feels so good to lighten up!
This year I brought in lots of aqua and white.

I used a mix of vintage pieces and color variations.

Old books, tins, transferware, ironstone, bottles...
all come together harmoniously...

Most of the time I only have one piece of a pattern...
like these Homer Laughlin bluebirds.

Have you started to bring a little spring into your home yet?

Feel free to pin and share!

  3. So lovely Linda! I love the aqua theme. Can you tell me a little more about Homer Laughlin? We were out somewhere and loved the plain heavyish white coffee mugs and saucers and it had that name on the bottom but I have yet to find any to purchase. Maybe they were for restaurant only? Also, I picked up some pussywillows at JoAnn's and love them by my fireplace. Not as pretty as your real ones but thank you for the inspiration!

  4. I hope to bring a bit of spring to the house this weekend. I have been gone for the last 2 or 3 weeks so I still have my St. Patrick's Day stuff up. Tomorrow is the day for it to Begone! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xo Diana

  5. Your sun room hutch is lovey with all the vintage dishes and shades of aqua. My sun room has been turned into a playroom temporarily. At least I hope it is temporary.

  27. Your hutch just makes me happy! It's simply beautiful! I love the way you have mixed and matched all of your blue and white china patterns, the well-worn lovely books, your pretty linens and that little cherub carrying the eggs is precious! I would love to see it in person. I'm always in admiration of such creativity.

  29. I loved your hutch display. As I am a bird lover, I have been hard put NOT to buy bluebird dishes. Think my resolve just melted! I have an ever increasing collection of inexpensive china birds; some are music boxes and the robins are screaming to be put into a vignette! Winter in Maine is just TOO long and dreary. My friends give me a funny look when I say that I can't wait for mud season!
