Fun Thrift Store Finds...

Time to share some fun thrift store finds!  This week, I had a fun thrifting afternoon and some great finds!  It was a basket finding week...this old apple basket
(love that it still has the original label) and an old handled berry basket...

This wall basket is perfect for holding cinnamon scented pinecones...

I love finding old flower baskets...they are so pretty with hydrangea...

It was my day to find wooden hangers, too...train hangers...

as well as hotel and advertising hangers...

Finally, I bought a boxed set of 1930 silverplate flatware!  It is a Wm A Rogers Oneida pattern called Crestwood. It will blend nicely with a set we have
from my mother-in-law, so we can serve our big family gatherings.
Thrift stores can be a great place to find flatware, especially on sale days...
I got this set for a bargain price...$9.00!

I am looking forward to a relaxing fall weekend...
hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!

Until next time...

  9. Love all your finds, Linda! I just found some hotel hangers myself, and I have one of those flower baskets, but never knew how to use it. Love the idea of using hydrangeas. You really found a great treasure with the flatware! My thrift store has been a disappointment lately.... Always love seeing your 'finds' and how you display them. So inspiring. xo Karen

  11. Great thrifting Linda. The hangers are wonderful, very scarce in my area now (thrift store figured out that they could sell them for 'vintage pieces' prices rather than the regular 10¢ a hanger. The silverware - treasure found.

  12. Wow, you sure found some great treasures! The thrift stores around here really aren't even worth going to...just a lot of junk, bad junk. Love those baskets, but the silverware has to be my favorite.
