A Simple Fall Vignette...

This week I made some fall changes in our dining room,
including a simple little vignette...

I used one of my favorite bee prints, which was downloaded and printed from The Graphics Fairy site, and framed with a thrifted frame.  A found wasp nest adds natural texture, as do the several years old, paper-thin Chinese Lanterns in a marmalade jar.
With its strong edge design and beautiful cutwork pattern, the white mat
serves as a little touch of pretty beneath the rustic elements...

Such a contrast of textures...

Very simple...but I love the look!

Next post, I'll share some of the fall hutch decorating changes from the room!  Before I go, I want to thank you for all of the sweet comments on my last post about our guest room!  I really appreciate it when you take the time to stop by!

I am joining~

Until next time...

  10. I so miss having the Chinese Lanterns in my garden, they are a wonderful sight, both when like this in your Dundee marmelade jar , and when drying to skeleton lanterns outside !!
A wonderful display dear Linda, with the wasp nest piece and your lovely framed bee image.
    Have a lovely evening.

  11. Very nice! The bee theme is really unique looking. Do you grow the Japanese Lanterns? (That is what they are called isn't it?) I would love to grow some of those for decorating in the fall time.

  12. I love your fall vignette. All of the elements go together so well. I wonder if you can grow Chinese Lanterns in Georgia.

  18. I am so jealous. Been looking for a marmelade jar like this forever. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for one. Love the bees pic and the rest. Tried to get some Japanese lanterns this year but our frost hit them before I got a chance....This looks so lovely. Elegant and simple.
