Life Anew...

Here in Minnesota, spring has arrived...warm temperatures...life anew.

We spent much of today in the garden...one really does feel close to God there...

We cleared the gardens to prepare for the new season...
planting and setting out new plants...

 Life renews itself each spring...

Last week, my sweet father passed away from myeloma...and began a new life with God.  He was there to teach me to walk, to ride a bike, to meet the boys I dated, walk me down the aisle, and hold my children and my grandchildren.  I have a hole in my world right now, but feel so incredibly blessed to have had this funny, loving, generous man of God as my daddy for nearly 60 years.  I know he is still with me...

As we gathered last week to celebrate his life, it was so good to see so many old friends and our family come together.  All of our lives were made better,  knowing this man...

Life anew, indeed...

Until next time...

  15. I was just about to comment and tell you that the words on your garden sign always remind me of my father who was a very keen gardener, when I continued to read, and read your very sad news. I am so sorry for your loss. The reason those words mean so much to me is that this is the little quote that my Mum wrote on the card for my Dad's wreath. I feel your pain at this sad time, and even now, tears are flowing for my own loss 22 years ago.

    Sending a comforting hug
