A Simple Project...An Unconventional Valentine...

I don't do much decorating for Valentine's Day, but yesterday I took a break from the kitchen painting, and made a quick and easy little project with a non-traditional twist.  I had a vintage frame with an old fabric piece on board,
and decided it would make a good base.

I chose two pieces of Tim Holtz's wonderful papers...the first I used to cut some strips to cover the inner edges and applied them with double faced tape, creating a paper mat.

The second paper actually was the inspiration for my project...this wonderful montage of old photo booth photographs.  I placed this piece
upon the paper mat with double face tape.

Such great faces...

Finally, I added some vintage game letter cards of various types and sizes to spell out
 "BE MINE".

An unconventional valentine, but I love it...

I am joining~

Before I go, I wanted to thank you for all of your kind comments on my last post...the kitchen project is coming along nicely and I hope to share it with you soon!

Until next time...have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Great way to make an unconventional valentine! I love all the Tim Holtz stuff at Hobby Lobby, but I never know exactly what to do with it. It always has such great aged look though.

  8. Now, THAT is my kind of valentine! I'm not much for super mushy, flowery, glittery, and all the stuff you see most of the time, but this is great! Thank you for sharing this re-made find at Thrifty Life Thursday, Linda. :)
