A Very Simple Halloween Project...

Recently, I found this great old book at the thrift store!  I love the wonderful old cover illustration, the title, and the spine coloring...

I decided to create a simple book bundle for Halloween!  I checked out the old books at the thrift store and found two
with a spooky look...

I used vintage seam binding,
in old Halloween colors,
to tie decoratively around the books...

I think it has a fun look for Halloween!  Feel free to grab the image below to use in your personal Halloween projects...just right click on the image and save.  You could alter an old book, with this image as a cover illustration, for the same look...

I wanted to thank you again for visiting and for the great comments on the Bachman's Ideas House posts!  I am glad you were inspired and enjoyed the tours!

Until next time...

  2. It is amazing those were found at a thrift. Even if we did have them at a thrift here they would be in the boutique section priced at $50 each. Man i miss real thrifts. It looks amazing for halloween decor. Love your whole vignette

It's a very nice idea for a Halloween vignette!
I do love the old books.
You'll have to read ,'The Lure of the Mask'.
    It has me intrigued!

  6. Do not place old, leather bound books in reach of a labrador puppy. You will come back to a 150 year old copy of Shakespeare, brought home from England, with its cover chewed off. She didn't eat any of the words.

  7. At least your puppy has Good Taste! My bad?
Love this book idea. You have some fun finds there.

  8. Awesome idea and it doesn't get much easier than that. Love those Chinese Lanterns (I think that's what they're called). I really need to plant some of those next year!
