A Rustic Houseplant Holder...

Hi everyone!  I haven't been online too much lately with many family happenings right now...three birthdays this week (including my own) and I am enjoying a wonderful visit from my parents, who have traveled here from California!  I thought I would share a gift I received...this fun plant set came from a local nursery, but I thought it might inspire some of you crafty people out there.  It has a wood base tray with three painted and distressed wood boxes, holding lovely low-growing plants...

The bottom tray has decorative rope handles...

The plants are so pretty...this one is Baby Tears, but I don't know what the other two are...

love the variegated petals...

I placed the plants in the middle of the dining table in our sunporch and surrounded them with carved wood candleholders I found recently at a thrift store.

Pretty leaf detailing...

I love the look of the planter, don't you?

This summer has been full of memory making for us...I hope you are enjoying your summer, too!

Until next time...

  13. Sweet planter and happy birthday! I think the one with the small purple flowers is a hardy geranium. I have a few in my garden and they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

  22. Sounds like you're having a good summer. I love your birthday gift. It just may be the inspiration for me to do something different with a couple of vintage wooden trays I've been hanging on to--looking for a fun way to use them. Have a great week.
