Fun Finds...

Aren't those little spools eye candy?  I did a little antiquing and thrifting this week and thought I'd share some of the goodies!  I found this great old box of spools at Haupt Antiek Market.  Deb travels Europe for goodies, and I love this one!

The graphics are so great!

Another antiquing find this week was this sweet little Italian tole candle holder...I love its chippy shabby look...

and the faded lilies...  It's in my White Lilac Cottage etsy shop, if you are interested!

I love this gorgeous antiquing find~ a vintage French-style tole bouillotte lamp!

  From its beautiful wreath finial...

hand painted decoration,

reticulated top edge, and chippy patina...it's a beauty!  Pieces like this have a way of ending up in my own house...

I was really attracted to this old piano leg!  I love the styling and the wonderful old patina...

Beautiful alligatoring...

I had some fun thrift store finds, too!  This vintage candy tin from Dublin, Ireland has great graphics and the shamrock decorated lid edge is perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

Old books are always a favorite thrift store find!  These are leatherbound with great covers...

"A Tale of Two Cities" by Dickens...

Lots of fun finds this week, and I'll be adding new items into all three of my etsy shops, so hope you'll stop by- there are links on my sidebar!

I am joining Linda at Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesday
and
Kim at Savvy Southern Style's Wow Us Wednesday

Until next time...

  17. Oh my goodness, I love those spools! I've never been to that Haupt Antiek Market, but I just looked at their website or something the other day. I think there was a link to it from the Buffalo Nickel. I visited that shop last week. Have you ever been there? I felt like I was driving forever.

  21. You and I would get along so well. I love to go antiquing and thrifting. You found some absolutely splendid items. That piano leg looks like something great could become of that. And the spools from France. "magnifique!" ( I don't even know if that is a real French word or not, but you get the picture right?)

  30. Wow. You did great, Linda. I don't know what I love best. The French thread is wonderful and I also love the little jar with with the shamrocks around the top ... oh, and the candle holder. I'm starting to get thrift store withdrawal with being tied up with my parents so much lately. Maybe I'll sneak away this afternoon ...
