A Welcoming Entryway For Fall...

This week I decorated our front porch for fall!  I always enjoy making a welcoming entryway to our home, and love changing it out for each season!  The mums are really starting to bloom now...

and a couple of pretty pumpkins add to the seasonal decor~

I took two vintage rakes and added an old folk art wood crow...

The metal painted "Welcome Friends" sign was a gift from one of my sons several years ago...I use it in many seasonal decorations!  A little chippy wood bench and an old picket fence section add height and an interesting background...

A colorful fun rug will greet the trick-or-treaters later this month...

Welcome to our home!

I am linking up to Common Ground's Vintage Inspiration Fall Porch Party

Until next time...
Linda

  9. I bought a white pumpkin and some mums this weekend, too! :-) I just set the mums (in their plastic pots) inside some old metal pails. I don't want to plant them in dirt, since I have a feeling they'll die w/the first frost anyway? I guess I need to read up on their care, I have never bought any before but I loved their fall colors!

  20. Hi Linda,

I love your porch display. I haven't decorated my porch yet because I'm still trying to get my neglected garden cleaned-up of the weeds that krept in while I wasn't looking.

I did leave my rake leaning aginst the porch post instead of putting it away on Friday. Does that count? LOL

Thanks for the motivation and inspiration.

  21. Linda, thank you for sharing your Autumnal bliss! Those mums are gorgeous! Thank you also for your sweet visit today...I will continue to lurk around in blogland taking in all the beauty. My caretaking responsibilities have increased and so blogging will have to quietly take a back seat for a while. Looking forward to living vicariously through my blogging buddies. ~ Angela

I'm hoping to show a little of this year's outdoor decor next party. We're getting some work done out front, so it is a bit messy.
