Some Fun Finds...

Thank you all for your sweet get-well wishes!  I'm not 100% yet, but I am getting my voice back!  Thought I'd share a few finds from a stop at the thrift store last week!  Vintage seam binding is always a great find for me...and I love the soft buttery color on one of the rolls!  And I found another stoneware bowl...think I need to display some of these on my hutch soon!  I love the farmhouse feeling they have!

Isn't this aluminum lamb mold cute?  Fun for springtime decorating!

The colors and pattern on the vintage English candy tin are so pretty...

and I loved the colors and print on a pair of placemats, too.  Such a feeling of French Country to me!

I used one under the spring flowers I shared last post...

Here's an unusual find for me...a burlap coffee sack!  It's newer, but I love the graphics and think it will be fun to use in a project!

Finally, this old wallpaper brush has a wonderful vintage patina...

Another day...another thrift store...

I am joining Debra of Common Ground with some of my ETSY goodies for Monday Marketplace!

Until next time...

    Get better soon.
That tin is the exact same shape of the one I have from my grandmother.
I keep it on our coffee table.
Is it from the Murry Allen Company?
    Your tin is super cute!!
And yes love any seam bindings.
    Great scores as always.

  4. Very nice finds. Many years ago, for some insane reason I donated my entire stash of vintage sewing fixings and cloth and now I am always looking for replacements at garage sales.

  15. Great finds, Linda. I don't what I love most. Certainly the seam binding and the tin Lamb mold is right up there. The stoneware crock is great too ... and the colorful tin! What a good thrifting day you had. Makes me want to go out on the hunt today but I simply MUST get some of this stuff listed in my shop(s). Oh, and thanks for the tip on the curlers! I hate shopping when it's so busy on the weekend but maybe I'll go buy them today.

  19. Love all your fun finds. That wallpaper brush does have wonderful patina. I often see stuff like that and like it, but then think about what it really is and then don't end up buying it. Old brushes are popular right now though.

  23. My family makes a lamb cake with that mold every year for Easter. It is tradition, in fact everyone who has gotten married into our family has one. One of those things I am always on the lookout for any new additions to the family :) Let me know if you need the recipe.

  26. Glad you're feeling a bit better! :) I was sick for two FULL weeks and I'm still coughing my head off. I honestly think I might have had a touch of pneumonia. I'm glad it's about gone!
I'll definitely put some pics on my blog when my veggies get into full swing. I have some cilantro, green onions, sugar snap peas and spinach growing out there right now. :) Yummy! I can't wait till it gets big enough to eat. :)
Loved your bowl and all your other goodies! I've said it before and I'll say it again...You find the BEST stuff when you shop! :)
    Have a great week girlie!
