Bachman Spring Ideas House- End of the Tour- The Craft Room...

Today I'll share with you last room on the Spring Bachman's Ideas House tour~ the Craft Room!  If you are just joining us, there are five previous posts that feature all the other rooms, full of great ideas- please stop by and visit them!  The craft room was my personal favorite part of the house, so bright and cheery, and a dedicated place to work and create!  The workspace was centered in the room with fun covered stools...

There was a fun colorful rug under the workspace created by taping together six small throw rugs!   It had a great patchwork look!

Look at this fun aluminum lazy susan and vintage aquarium for storage...

I love these shelves holding all sorts of goodies...

look at this ribbon storage on a old lamp...

and the old medical jars for supplies!

There were two great idea boards- a vintage gate, and an old screen door back with cork...

There was a great organized storage closet...

and a rolling cart for at-hand storage.

Along one wall, there was a fabulous old oilcloth store display being used to hold ribbons and decorative papers...

I loved the fun old wood post with funnels attached for string dispensing!

Looks like a room where I could have fun!  Well, that's it!  Hope you enjoyed the tour and took away a few ideas and inspiration for your own spaces!  This idea house will be open until May 2 and the Summer house will be June 3-13.  The fall show will be Sept 16-26, so if any of you are traveling to the Twin Cities for Junk Bonanza or The Creative Connection Event you'll be able to visit that one!  Thanks for all your great comments~ they are SO appreciated!  Until next time...

Bachman's Spring Ideas House- Part Five- The Bathrooms...

Well, the tour is nearly done...today I'll show you two bathrooms and tomorrow, my personal favorite room of the house- the Craft Room!  If you are just starting the tour, please visit the four previous posts to see the rest of this fun house!  The above picture is from the upstairs bath- I love the old iron trivets painted and decorated with letters and the baby scale holding decorative soaps!  You enter the upper level via two flights of steps with a landing in between...

They took a waffle-weave shower curtain and embellished it with vintage fabrics...

Look at these fun vintage hangers repurposed as hooks...

They re-used an old aquarium for toilet paper storage...

and an vintage iron rest as a soap holder...

The downstairs bathroom is in the hallway, just off the kitchen.  It's just a small space, but they still fit some fun ideas in there!  I loved how they used this old street sign...

and look at how they repurposed an old mailbox!

A vintage hanging rack makes a charming towel rack...

An old barn fan cover was repurposed with the addition of a mirror- very graphic and useful!

Hope you enjoyed the bathroom ideas...next post - the craft room!  Until next time...

Bachman's Spring Ideas House- Part Four- The Bedrooms...

Today's post from the Bachman's Spring Ideas House, features the charming bedrooms!  This post will be a little longer...lots to share!  If you are just joining the tour, please also visit my three previous posts with other parts of the house!  There are actually four bedrooms in this house, but one is decorated as a studio craft room and I'll feature that on its own later!  First off is the lovely, restful master bedroom...I love how they repurposed the great old shutters as a headboard and used vintage crocheted lace and old burlap coffee bags for pillows...

The side tables were vintage milk cans topped with glass- I'm not usually a big milk can fan, but the patina on these gave these a great industrial feel...

This view is the opposite side of the room...sorry, it's a little dark...

I love the old wood tobacco drying tray on the wall...

The dresser was painted with hammered metal spray paint...it had a fabulous updated look!

I loved the old slide storage box used for jewelry...

 and the desktop decorations...

Look at these charming wall mirrors made from stovepipe grates!

Hope you enjoyed it!  Next up is the little girl's room~ it has a decidedly  feminine feel and is very bright and cheery!  Look at this cool branch decoration on the wall above the bed!

The headboard was actually made with three Vera Bradley bulletin boards!

A garden cart serves as a charming side table...

and a window well is a toy box...

There's a lovely bench made from an old Jenny Lind bed...

The dresser was an old vanity painted the bright pink color and had this cute lamp on top edged with yo-yos...

The last bedroom featured today was my personal favorite- the little boy's room (although there are many little girls who would love it, too)!  It had a baseball theme and the room was full of wonderful pieces and great ideas!  Take a look at the bed with its fabulous baseball bat headboard!

I love the side table made with old wood bottle crates and the baseballs lamp...

and look at these great old lockers for storage...

How about this fun window treatment and locker baskets for more display?

I love this shelf made with baseballs!

This was may favorite piece...old industrial fencing used for display and great old baseball gloves used as little ledges...how fun!  The desk under it used old industrial bins for storage!

Well, it's been a long post...thanks for staying with me!  Hope you found lots of ideas!  Only a few areas left...next time the bathrooms!  Until next time...
