More Thrift Shop Fun...

I went to one of my favorite thrift shops today and found some fun goodies- some vintage trays, some old floral contact paper,  a vintage math primer with charming graphics, and my inspiration of the day- vintage wooden hangers!  These come in all shapes and sizes and lend themselves to many projects- today I was focusing in on the pants type hangers that open and spring close when you move the hook.  I especially love those hangers with markings- hotel names, etc.  They are perfect for a different way to hang photos, project notes, even children's artwork- without having to damage the piece with pins or tape- and are easily changed out.  Its easy to make a fun wall grouping, like the one I have pictured of charming old dog photos (I love to collect dog stuff...).  I can just imagine a row of my grandkids' school pics or artwork!

Linda,
What a great idea to hang pics from the hangers. It looks like we collect a lot of the same things, and hangers are one of them. I did a post awhle back with some really primitive ones I found in Austin. Love your blog, I'll be back. Lisa

Hi Linda! I was paying a visit to my friend Edie over at the Jeweled Frog and saw your button on her page. You have a beautiful blog -- love your style and vintage aesthetic! I'm feeling the itch to go thrifting tomorrrow to find myself some of those vintage hangers. I have huge collections of antique photos and ephemera from both my family and my husbands. What a wonderful way to display those family keepsakes! I'm so glad I found you, and am happy to be your newest follower. Best, Jenn
