A Simple Project

I love the large (12" x 3") vintage flash cards I recently purchased, especially the black on white graphics. I think they are perfect for signs to just tuck into a shelf or a special place, so I added some vintage game letters (I LOVE vintage game pieces) for whimsical thoughts...you can personalize cards for your own life very easily. I also did one on a vintage addition flash card- 1+1=LOVE. I think that card would make a cute gift tag on a wedding shower gift! These are on etsy right now- I can also put together personalized letter packages if you want to make up sayings for your own signs! Such a simple way to repurpose vintage goodies...

Visiting Haupt Antiek Market

Just returned home from the October monthly sale at Haupt Antiek Market in Apple Valley MN! Liana and I were dealers with Haupt for 3-1/2 years and Liana still designs their monthly advertising cards and does the website. It is always a great sale and features a wonderful group of dealers that we are lucky enough to call our friends! They feature European antiques and primitives that Deb and Greg Haupt pick up on their travels to Europe, along with primitives, cottage and farmhouse style, trash to treasure, good junk, and lots of funky eclectic stuff from the other dealers. This month, the shop exterior has lots of pumpkins and fall decorations with great good galvanized junk! Each month is completely different- next month is Visions of Christmas Past- I can't wait as vintage Christmas is a passion with me...
Today I found some great Alice and Jerry flash cards and some game cards- more Itsy Bits and Pieces!

Starting Off

I am brand new to this blogging thing...I've been enjoying reading so many others and have actually had this blog for awhile, without actually knowing how to start. So I guess I'll just step off the dock and jump in...
Itsy Bits and Pieces is actually the name of a business that I share with my daughter, Liana. We share a love of junk, antiques and art, and have fun combining them! We especially love vintage ephemera and little unique goodies. We sell on etsy and have a couple of sales a year, most notably Junk Bonanza. I'll be sharing posts of our adventures, people we meet, fun projects, and life in general. I hope you will visit us on etsy and send your comments to say hello! Linda
